I’ve built a DIY e-bike conversion kit that transforms a regular bicycle into an electric one—at a fraction of the cost of commercial e-bikes. It includes a motor, battery, throttle, and a custom-designed portable charging unit powered by a dynamo.

Most existing kits are imported and expensive. I have locally sourced parts, kept a low-cost, and created a modular design, making it more accessible and affordable. My kit also includes a unique USB charging feature, allowing users to charge phones and other small devices while riding.

This kit is designed especially for blue-collar workers such as domestic helpers, delivery agents, or street vendors –people who rely on bicycles for daily commutes but can't afford commercial e-bikes.

Yes, my prototype kit follows typical e-bike safety norms. It does not exceed speed limits that would require licensing in India. No permanent modification is made to the bike frame, preserving the bike's original structural integrity.
